I'm Heather, a freelance transcriber and researcher.
I have a background in academia, having spent six years doing a part-time PhD alongside various freelance research projects and teaching. I then moved into the civil service, where I worked as an employment rights advisor.Â
I have been transcribing for almost a decade! My previous clients include the NHS, Manchester University, Fulfilling Lives, and a variety of academics and students.
I have a masters degree in research methods from Durham University, and I am skilled in all areas of qualitative research. I am particularly interested in projects around poverty and class, employment rights, and lived experience led research.
